Athena's Monthly Message for May 2024

As I connect in with Athena she is bringing us to a sacred cave. The cave feels familiar and homey to us. She is motioning for us all to enter the cave, and to sit. Some of us sit next to the walls of the cave, and others sit closer to the middle. There is plenty of room for us all. Athena brings us each a sheepskin to sit or lay on, and she says,

“This precious sheep skin has been gifted to you today, to keep you warm and connected to both the animal kingdom, and to your own sacred body. Take a moment to honour your sheepskin and to feel the warmth it brings to you now.

As you go about this moon, you may wish to come back here often, to the dark, and to your sheepskin. The sacred darkness and the sheepskin will be a comfort for you throughout this moon, and it will be a place where you will come to rest your body and to recharge.

For it will be a busy moon. Much is moving, growing, changing and alchemizing within you. You will be stretched to sacred heights this moon, as you will be asked to stretch both your mind and your body. Keep your mind open and malleable, as it absorbs new concepts and ideas. As it absorbs change and growth on an exponential scale.

Be gentle with your body this moon, as it too works hard to calibrate these changes, both on a physical and on an energetic level. Physically, you will naturally be more active this moon, and so you will be stretching your body, literally, to help soothe aches and pains, and to help move your body into alignment with the Spring energy and the yin energy that comes with it. You will be moving your body more this moon, then you have moved it in the past 4 months. And so be sure to drink lots of water with minerals, and to stretch and rest in between movement as needed.

It is important, also, this moon, to allow the emotions that arise to flow through you. Allow them to flow and to move, so that they do not stay and become stagnant.

Be blessed, my dear ones. This moon will be one of deep change, deep, welcomed change indeed.”

As Athena finishes her message, we are all laying on our sheepskins, connecting deeply to her words, her wisdom, and also to the Earth itself and to the animal kingdom. We feel hopeful about this moon, and comforted that we have this sacred cave and these sheepskins to return to, as we wish, to keep us grounded in our bodies.
